My studio time is spent testing materials and their found characteristics, and often combining them in unexpected ways to create abstract sculptures or assemblages like this one. Architecture has been a major influence on my work over the last few years, extending to the derelict, dilapidated and decaying, as well as the contrasting materials found within the urban landscape. These materials and objects used in the construction process of my sculptures have informed the development of my sculptural language, and are often objects I have found and taken directly from the built up environments around me.
