Natasha Lumley

I am a profoundly deaf figurative painter based in London recently graduated from Post Diploma in Figurative Painting. I spent two years studying a Portraiture Diploma, specialising in oils working from direct observation, at Heatherley’s School of Fine Art. 

I was awarded a Post Diploma scholarship in Figurative Painting at Heatherleys. Here I am continuing to develop my artistic language, expressing inner narratives drawn from experiences lived through the invisibility of my deafness.

I am drawn to capturing mood and atmosphere - these intangibles that transcend reason and words but so effectively move us.  My artistic voice is emerging as I allow intuition to become my guide in this ever evolving journey.
