We are both knives

Katherine is an artist living and working in Sussex. Primarily a figurative artist, her work focuses on women, domesticity and motherhood. Katherine’s work reflects her current stage in life and is a way for her to explore the delicate balance between her multiple roles as mother, professional and artist.
This work is built up with layers of painting, printmaking and collage. Katherine enjoys incorporating various techniques into her paintings, especially printmaking which removes an element of control over the final image and gives it its unusual markings.
