This painting was inspired by the last trip my father in law made with us. He passed away about 3 weeks after this trip. I wanted to capture the loving gaze he had towards my son, faded by age and ill health. The flower meaning of dandelion is hope and healing while daffodil's flower meaning is rebirth and new beginning. In the passing of one person, there is rebirth, new promises and new potential.
