In 'Treasure', I aimed to create a dialogue between the contours of the subject's back and the ovoid of the egg. Gently cupped within the woman's hand the fragility of the egg is echoed by the soft planes of her body. At once symbolic of fertility and a hidden 'treasure', the egg represents the wonder of nature and of the human body.
