This painting captures a moment in time when the sun was shining and I felt positive, energetic and ready to move my body to make artwork. I have a connection to this painting as it is a self portrait of my own emotions. I want you the viewer to look further than what meets the eye and try to situate yourself in the sunshine and gaze between the layers of paint to find your own story. Paint has been used as a tool to allow chance to drip, mix and merge into one another also embracing time throughout the process of painting.
