A Perfect View

Acrylic on canvas. The shiny surface of a tiled floor is revealed in the foreground, bounded by two pastel-coloured pillars. Beyond this, an inviting blue sea stretches into the mid-distance. In the sky above, The Moon glows brightly in a glorious sky. While the scene is inviting, there is no sign of human presence. The composition is skewed so that the horizon line runs diagonally across the canvas and the entire piece feels ill at ease and off balance.
