To create this piece, I used acrylic paint and oil pastels. I am fascinated by the symbolism around pomegranates in Greek mythology, and therefore they come up frequently in my work. The idea for this painting came when I cut open a pomegranate and the reflection of the light in all the seeds, I felt, resembled beady eyes.
