Meltdown

The inspiration was seeing a programme about the potential meltdown of the Antarctic and Arctic glaciers. I chose to do this painting which portrays the Antarctic. The penguins are included because they are easily recognisable and liked by people. If global warming causes the meltdown of the ice at the poles, then the penguins will loose their habitat and become extinct. It is on board and painted in Acrylic,I have also used texture to emphaise the thick ice.
