Statement
I create sculptures by transforming every day objects. By doing this, the objects that I choose are transformed into absurd and ridiculous new creatures. It is my way of commenting on the meanings associated with those particular objects and reflecting on the social, political and historical aspects they represent.
The selection of objects that I choose to create my sculptures is based on my interested in exploring notions of mass-production, exploitation and our relationship with the natural environment. A giant chicken soup carton, a can, a TV, a safari hat and a meat mincer, are example of the objects that I have transformed.
