George Roffe

My name is George Roffe and I am a 23 year old self taught artist. Having graduated from the University of Warwick in 2023 with a first class bachelors degree in Ancient History and Classical Archeology, I have found myself drawn to Classical and Hellenistic artworks. Painting primarily in oils, my paintings largely depict notable Classical and renaissance statuary in a contemporary colour pallet as I am interested in the human form and how this has been captured throughout history. I also occasionally work in acrylics and water colours.
