Statement
When it was 50, I thought I was dying. A voice said "don't die with the music still in you, all you have to do is lay down the paint" and so I started to paint. I allowed the universe to just flow through me and it just gives me the art. I could see the energy of things all around me and eventually I dispensed with form and just captured the energy and flow evoking a 'feeling' to the viewer. I'm now 64 and am now happy to show a piece. I chose a joyful garden scene for my first try at exhibiting. My work is on my instagram page where your can see my evolution: anniegetyerpaint.
